Obituary

Gerald William "Bill" Ralston of Yukon, Okla., 69, passed away February 22, 2021. He was born on December 10, 1951 in Fort Knox, Kentucky to Hugh and Donita Ralston, ne Tarazano. Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Bonnie; his children, Gerrad Ralston (Gail) of Battle Lake, Minn., Rique Dubois (Michael) of Cummings, N.D., Hayden Ralston (Gina) of Virginia Beach, Va., Terry Willis (Angela) of Oklahoma City, Okla., and J.P. Willis (Heather) of Yukon, Okla.; his siblings, Ruth Fagerman, Linda Dameron, Glen Ralston, Duey Ralston, and Kathy Jones; his 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill grew up as the son of a military man and so lived in various places in his life - Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Maine, England, Texas, and North Dakota. As a member of the Air Force for 4 years, he became a sergeant and was stationed in Mississippi and Korea before being stationed at Tinker AFB here in Oklahoma. After leaving the Air Force, Bill worked for the United States Postal Service and retired in 2008. Bill was a committed follower of Jesus Christ, devoted husband, dedicated father, gentle Papou, beloved brother, genuine friend, eager student, diligent worker, extraordinary organizer, humble teacher and delighted dog owner. He was gifted with an incredible dry wit, but more importantly, an incredible way of encouraging others by speaking well considered and genuine words. These and so many unwritten qualities are why Bill will be sorely missed and always remembered. "Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your master."
