Obituary

Gerald Surf Murphey, 63, passed away January 30, 2010. He was born April 15, 1946 in Hobart, Oklahoma to J.C. and Thelma Nadine Murphey. He worked for Chromalloy of Oklahoma for 35 years and belonged to the union. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, stock cars and going to hockey games and casinos. Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his wife Evelyn Kady Murphey; sister Peggy Bomar and husband Larry; niece Michelle Ritzhaupt; nephews Earl Swink II and Brian Bomar; step-children Lisa Perry, John Perry Jr., Jeanette Perry and Gina Perry; 11 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; aunts, cousins, several friends and co-workers. Viewing will be Thursday, February 4, 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. with the family present from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Friday, February 5, 10:00 a.m. at Mercer-Adams Chapel w/lite lunch afterwards. Graveside services at 2:00 p.m. outside of Cooperton, OK at Spring Hill Cemetery.
