Jerry walked peacefully with our Lord into Heaven Wednesday morning. Jerry was a loving husband to Barbara Hudson, beloved father of Theresa and Tom Hudson. He was preceded in death by his son, Tyson Hudson, father, Leo Hudson, mother, Clara Feuerborn-Swinford, brother, Craig Hudson, and sister, Maxine Arnett. He was raised by Leo and Willadene Hudson in Emporia, KS. He joined the Army in 1965 and served over 20 years of active service including an extended tour in Vietnam. He was awarded several medals throughout his career including the Legion of Merit. Jerry was always involved in the ministry of God helping churches during interim periods. He found his true calling as a hospice chaplain where his kind, genuine heart touched many people. Jerry will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; his children, Theresa and Tom; his mother, Willadene; twin sister, Geraldine Millsap; and many other close relatives. The family wishes to thank Gilda Rhodes for her help and encouragement. Viewing will be Friday, 9am-9pm, with family present from 5-7pm at Mercer-Adams.
