Gerald Dewayne Dyer, 76, died March 18, 2014. He was born February 14, 1938 to Vernie and Thelma (Cagle) Dyer. He recently retired from Amundsen Food Equipment after 22 years in sales. He proudly served in the Oklahoma Army National Guard. A Christian and follower of the Lord, he had a positive influence on so many. Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his wife, Nancy; children, Kevin Dyer (Janice), Terri Preston (Chris), Lonny Dyer, Kelly Elkins (Scott), Kenny Orf (Teresa), Kathy Cooksey; brother, Bobby Dyer (Elzene); sisters, Phyllis Curry (Gary), Verna Ormiston; 10 grandchildren, Chris Preston and wife Brittnee, Courtney Ratlifff and husband Jon-Luke, Tyler Elkins and wife Morgan, Emily Prock and husband Jonathan, Matthew Elkins, Chelsea Fischer and husband Ross, Chase Cooksey, Cassidy Cooksey, Sunnie Robinson and husband Broc, and Brock Orf; and 3 great-grandchildren, Jacob, Makynzie and Bennett. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, 6-8pm, at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Thursday, March 20, 10:00am at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
