Georgia D. Bishop of Oklahoma City, OK, formerly of Woodward, OK, passed from this life September 28, 2016. She was born February 1, 1939 in Bromide, OK to Boyd and Opal (Allison) Nelson. She lived her younger years in Watonga, OK, Odessa, TX, and Oklahoma City, OK. She attended Capitol Hill High School. Georgia married Gerald Sanders in 1956 and was blessed with eight children. She then married, Don Bishop, in 1975 and they celebrated 36 years together. Georgia was a wonderful wife and mother. She was an avid reader, loved crossword puzzles, and was a superb seamstress. Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Donny and Danny, husband, Don and her very best friend, Loretta. Georgia is survived by her children, Mike, Abner, Patty and husband Greg, Larry, Shane and Alison; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 11am-9pm, Sunday, October 2nd and the family will be available 6-8pm at Mercer Adams Funeral Home. Memorial service will be Monday, October 3rd at 11:00am at Mercer Adams Funeral Home with burial to follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Watonga, OK.
