George Wesley Brown passed away on March 4, 2024 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma He was born July 31, 1954 to G.W. Brown and Mary Elizabeth Earnshaw Brown in Amarillo, Texas. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Dallas, Texas in 1972. He was married to Martha Brown on June 7, 1980 in Dallas, Texas.
George retired from the car wash industry, owning the Sunshine Car Wash & Wally Wash. Prior to the car wash business, he worked in chemical sales for Ecco Chemicals.
George played trumpet in the T.J. High School band as well as the jazz band. He also enjoyed playing guitar, listening to all music and loved outdoor camping, Jack Russell dogs, and annual trips to Branson, Big Cedar Lodge, and Silver Dollar City. He was a Boy Scout who achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He was a terrific swimmer and life guard. George was a proud and loving father to his daughter, Amanda Brown.
George was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Martha Brown; daughter, Amanda Brown; and many cousins, nieces and nephews in Texas and Georgia.
