Genevieve "Joan" Davison Conner was born at home in Kiowa, OK on November 4, 1927 to Judge W. H. "Henry" Davison and Susan Hines Davison. She was 88. She was the 7th daughter and 13th child in the family of 7 sons and 7 daughters. After graduating high school in 1945 from McAlester, OK, Joan married John O'Melia Conner, son of the warden of the State Penitentiary in McAlester, on November 28, 1946. They had 3 children, Jennifer Ruth, John OMelia, Jr. and Jarilyn Gay. Joan attended college at OK A&M / OSU in Stillwater. John and Joan lived happily for 54 years before John passed away in 2000. Joan was married to Hugh Jones from 2003-2013. On May 1, 2016, Joan began dancing and singing in Heaven. Survivors are sister, Lucille Rogers of Odessa, TX, brother, Jerry Bob Davison of Lincoln, NE, Joans three children and spouses, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews; Joans many loves! Viewing will be Tuesday, 9am-9pm and Wednesday, 9am-noon, with family present from 10-noon at Mercer-Adams. Service will be 2:00pm Wednesday, May 4 at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Bethany Cemetery. At Joans request please wear blue or purple.
