Obituary

Gayrette B. Diepenbrock, 91, made her final move to her heavenly home on December 9, 2011, reuniting with her recently deceased husband, William H. Diepenbrock. Gayrette and Bill spent every Christmas together for 67 years and now they will spend their 68th Christmas together, celebrating the best Christmas of all with Jesus himself. On August 30, 1920, Minnie Gayrette Brooks was born to Roscoe Atlee and Ella Louise (Brinkman) Brooks in Bowers Mill, MO. She Married William Herman Diepenbrock, Jr. on June 6, 1943 in St. Louis, MO. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and servant of the Lord. She and her husband helped to start many mission churches in Illinois and Missouri and he was Interim Pastor at Trinity Baptist Church in Norman, Oklahoma and Goldsby Baptist Church, Goldsby, Oklahoma. They also taught the young couples classes at Putnam City Baptist in Oklahoma City for many years. She was the ultimate helpmate to her husband in his work and ministry. After retiring, they traveled all over the United States and Canada in their RV, then came back to settle down and do more ministering. If anyone was sick, in need, or in the hospital, they were probably the first ones there to bring a meal, offer sympathy and prayers. She delighted in having ALL of her family (and anyone they brought with them) celebrate Christmas and Easter and Thanksgiving at her home. Gayrette will be greatly missed and always remembered by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Isabelle Palsgrove; her brother, Roscoe Atlee Brooks, Jr.; and her beloved husband, William H. Diepenbrock, Jr. She is survived by her sons, Bill and wife Nancy, Dick and wife Janelle, Tom and wife Linda; daughter, Lyn Squire and husband Steve; 9 grandchildren, Will, Mandy, Melanie, Amy, Christa, Leslie, Catherine, Rachel, and Jessica; and 14 great-grandchildren. Services will be held Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 2:00pm in the Chapel at Council Road Baptist Church with interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. On Wednesday, December 14 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, the family will receive friends at Mercer-Adams, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, Oklahoma.
