Obituary

Gary Louis Straughan left this world to be with his Lord and Savior on April 10, 2026. He was born in Alexandria, LA on March 21, 1954 to Louis B. Straughan, Jr. and Imogene Elizabeth Straughan. He attended Putnam City High School and graduated in 1972. He went on to attend Rose State College due to his love of the medical field.

Gary was a lover of classic cars. He had his hand in the modeling world as well as sales and marketing.

He met the love of his life in 1972 at the McDonald's on NW 39th Expressway in Warr Acres, Oklahoma—a place that was once a popular local hangout. Their connection quickly grew, and in 1977 they were married. Together, they settled down in Warr Acres and raised three children: Justin, Heather, and Camarie.

In 2023, Gary experienced the loss of his son, Justin. In his later years, Gary faced ongoing health challenges, which he met with quiet strength.

Today, Gary is at peace—free from pain—and reunited with his parents, his son, and many other loved ones who went before him. He loved his close friends and family, and especially enjoyed spending time with his wife, Debbie, his sister, and his children.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Janice; and son, Justin.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Straughan; daughter, Heather Straughan; son, Blayne Milner; daughter, Camarie Hall and husband Kevin; granddaughters, Taylor Renee and Evie June; sister, Sandra Woodward and husband Russell; brothers-in-law, Donnie Hill and Dean Hill; sister-in-law, Diana Addison; and nieces and nephews, Kristen, Angela, Joel, Jessica, and Ryan, along with their spouses and children.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 18, 11:00am, at Putnam City Baptist Church, 11401 N. Rockwell Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK.

Floral deliveries may be made directly to the church on Friday afternoon, April 17 or Saturday morning, April 18.
