Gary J. La Mon, 81, died July 7, 2011. He was born May 11, 1930 in Macomb, IL to Chester and Adelaide (Hilgers) LemMon. At age 15, Gary moved to California where he worked, started a family and joined the U.S. Army Atomic Energy Commission. In the early 1980s he moved to Oklahoma where he met and married Adell, his best friend and the love of his life. He worked as a purchasing agent for Farly Sather Candy Company and retired with 20 years of service. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and he was an India Shrine Clown known as Bingo. He was awarded International Shrine Clown of the Year in 2004. It was his passion to make children of all ages smile. He was also an award-winning clown among his peers. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Adell La Mon, son Allyn LemMon, 5 sisters and 4 brothers. Gary is survived by his caregivers, Virginia Watts and Patty Love; daughter, Lynda FaVilla and husband Cookie of CA; son, David LemMon and wife JoAnn of CA; daughter-in-law, Linda LemMon of WA; sister, Patsy Hammond; 8 grandchildren: Jason, Jeremy, Jerett, Janine, Shawn, Tiffany, Shane and Austin; 6 great-grandchildren: Christian, Ryan, Kaitlyn, Emma, Andrew and Nathan; and God-daughter, Teresa Ann Jarvis. Gary is also survived by many brother clowns in Oklahoma and all across the United States.
