Gary Wayne Hines was born on January 6, 1942 in Rocky, Oklahoma. He was the eldest son of John and Opal (Kitchens) Hines. He was married to Adrienne Ann Adams on September 24, 1960 in Oklahoma City. After serving in the Air Force, he returned to raise his family of four children in Oklahoma City where he was a successful food broker. Gary passed away on February 2, 2020 from complications related to congestive heart failure at the age of 78. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two of his children (Cheryle and Adam), his brother, Larry and sister-in-law, Vicki. He is survived by two sons, Kenneth and his wife Kathy of Norman, Oklahoma and Brad of Canon City, Colorado. Surviving grandchildren include Stephanie Stevenson, Sarah Cowns, and Sheryl Underhill. He is also survived by his brother, Gerald Hines of Yukon and two sisters, Janice (Nick) Clark of Oklahoma City, Anita Jo (Lee) Stuckey of Mustang, and sister-in-law, Viola of Clinton. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Nonnie, his faithful four-legged walking companion, also survives him. Services will be at Mercer-Adams Chapel in Bethany, at 2pm on Friday, February 7. The family will receive visitors on Thursday from 5-7 pm. Interment will be at El Reno Cemetery following the service.
