Obituary
Gary LeRoy Clark was born on July 6, 1933, in Joplin, Missouri to John Tucker-Micajah Clark and Annette Sarah (Dorris) Clark. He passed away on July 21, 2021, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
He spent his childhood growing up in Joplin, Missouri. Upon graduating from Joplin High School in 1951 he joined the United States Army. Gary was very proud to share with friends and family the pride he felt in serving our country. He remained friends with his fellow servicemen throughout his lifetime.
As a young man, Gary moved to Hobbs, New Mexico with his job working in the oil and gas industry. While cruising main street in his new convertible thunderbird, he met his future wife, Camille Clayton. The young couple was transferred with Garys job to several mid-western cities before settling in Oklahoma City in the early 1960s. He continued his career as a salesman for natural gas well production equipment. Upon his retirement Gary and Camille moved to Pryor, Oklahoma to live by his only daughter, Carol, and his beloved grandchildren, Kara, Christopher, Jessica and Rebecca.
During retirement he enjoyed several hobbies. He attended wood working classes and built furniture, clocks, and restored guns. Gary was a member of the Oklahoma Gun Club and bought a beautifully restored Ford Thunderbird. He traveled to car shows and participated in parades, proudly driving his collectible T-Bird!
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Camille (Clayton) Clark; sister, Barbara Marie Clark; brother, Gale Clark; and his parents.
Gary is survived by his daughter, Carol Lynn (Clark) Kackley; grandchildren, Kara Ann (Kackley) Parker, Christopher Aaron Kackley, Jessica Lynn Kackley, Rebecca Danielle Kackley; brother, Marvin Clark; and sister, Carolynn (Clark) Stevenson.
