Garrell Dale
Hoch
Feb 13, 1938 — Jan 12, 2026
Garrell Dale Hoch, 87, passed away on January 12, 2026, in Oklahoma City, OK. Garrell was born on February 13, 1938, in Delta, CO, to Harry and Edelvis (Ingram) Hoch. Garrell retired from INTEGRIS Hospital as Chief Financial Officer after many years of service. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
Garrell spent most of his childhood in the Oklahoma panhandle town of Keyes before joining the Marine Corps. After his honorable discharge from military service, he attended Oklahoma State IT in Okmulgee where he graduated in accounting. He later attended Central State College (now the University of Central Oklahoma) where he earned a bachelor's degree and in 1977 became a Certified Public Accountant. It was in Okmulgee where he met Dottie Paulsen in 1960. They were married on November 17, 1962, in Holdenville, OK. Garrell and Dottie lived in Bartlesville before finally settling in Oklahoma City.
After his retirement from INTEGRIS, Garrell worked for Quorum, where he assisted other hospitals in the state who needed an interim financial officer or administrator, as well as served as the CFO for Bass Memorial Hospital in Enid, OK, for five years. He received both the Follmer Bronze Award and Reeves Silver Award for Outstanding Service by the Healthcare Financial Management Association. He also was the first person in Oklahoma to receive the Certified Valuation Analyst Award from the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.
Garrell enjoyed watching movies, cooking, solving Sudoku and crossword puzzles, watching his great-nephews, Noah and Judah Blosch, play sports, and most of all, playing golf with his friends and taking long road trips with Dottie.
Garrell was preceded in death by his mother and father, Harry and Edelvis Hoch; and younger brother, Phillip Hoch.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dottie, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, family members and friends. He will be greatly missed.
