Garman "Leon" Hicks, 91, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2015. Leon was born in Mountain Park, OK to W.B. "Bennett" and Agnes Hatfield-Hicks. He enlisted in the army in May of 1943 and was a WW II veteran. After returning from service, he lived in Woodward and worked for Hoover Equipment Co. and later moved to Oklahoma City where he worked for Boecking Equipment Co. selling Caterpillar equipment. It was there he met his wife, Shirley, who was also an employee. They were married in 1965. He is survived by wife Shirley, sons Randy and wife Cindy, Terry and wife Beth, and Randal; sister, Jo Curry, grandchildren, Joshua, Tara, and Max, 2 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing is from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 30. Services will be held on Monday, August 31 at 2:00 p.m. at Mercer Adams Funeral Home and officiated by Chaplain Peggy Pope. Burial to follow at Resthaven.
