YUKON - Gail Zollars, 86, passed away April 6, 2022. She was born October 6, 1935 to J.T. and Nadine (Nay) Zollars in Longton, KS. Gail retired from AT&T in 1995 after 30 years of service. An animal-lover from birth, you could always find her riding horses, racing horses or talking about horses. The matriarch of the family, her spunk and tenacity carried her and others through the years with grit and laughter. Always a phone call away for her grandchildren, she split her time between loving grandmother, therapist, and provider of an open door and safe space. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nadine Hammons; father, J.T. Zollars; brothers, Don Zollars and Darrel Zollars; children, Linda Jameson, Fred Muir and Rusty Muir; and grandchild, Kamy Lammons. She is survived by her love of 37 years, Don Myers; brother, Leonard Zollars; grandchildren, Misty Cornelius, Cody Cornelius, Christina Muir, Stephanie Gay, Jason Muir and Jamie Muir; and numerous great-grandchildren, family members and friends. Gail was a firecracker who lived life to its fullest and triumphed through diversity and pain with strength and resilience, serving as a beacon of support and comfort for family, neighbors, friends, and even strangers going through the same. The family gives thanks to the team at FountainBrook Assisted Living for their kindness and care of Gail.
