Gail Berniece Davis was born February 21, 1944 in Oklahoma City to Wilk and Nina Malissa (Guthrie) Davis. Her love of gospel music began when her oldest brother, Laverne, began playing piano and later traveled with a gospel quartet. Gail only took two years of lessons but was blessed with an exceptional gift to play whatever she heard. Her "Floyd Cramer" style and flow attracted listeners wherever she accompanied. She served as a church pianist for over twenty years. Highlights of mothers professional career included serving as administrative assistants at Deaconess Hospital and Dean McGee Eye Institute. Mother is survived by her three children, Kandy Myers and husband Mike Myers of Yukon; Chris Whetstone and wife Grace Whetstone of Arlington TX; Matt Whetstone and wife Mary Ann Whetstone of Arlington TX. "Grandma Gail" will be sweetly remembered by her six grandchildren: Gerrod and wife Andria, Tanner, Chris, Kayla, Olivia and Bella. Her brother Gordon Davis and wife Karen Davis of Oklahoma City; niece Kelli (Ryan) Williams and nephew Kevin (Lori) Davis. She leaves with us a rich legacy and love of music, and a genuine relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Gails three years at St. Annes was enriched with new friends and special memories. Thank you for your love and care for her. Gail will be celebrated at St. Annes Retirement Community (In the Chapel) on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 11:00am and her final resting place will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Oklahoma City. .
