Freddie "Fred" Joe Thomas, 75, died August 26, 2018 in OKC. He was born October 4, 1942 in Hobart, OK to Ira Owen "Buddy" and Clyde Estelle (McDowell) Thomas. He graduated high school in Roosevelt, OK and was a resident until 1998 when he moved to OKC. He attended auto body tech school in Okmulgee, OK and later owned and operated an auto body shop in Roosevelt. In 1992 he started Paintless Dent Repair and followed hail storms across the U.S. during hail season. Fred also started purchasing rental properties in 1992 in the OKC area and built a successful business in rental property. His passion was quail hunting and skeet shooting and, after moving to OKC, he discovered golf which quickly became an addiction for him. On August 29, 1979, he married Peggy Ann Jobe in Altus, OK. Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his loving wife, Peggy; 3 daughters, Karla Armstrong of Yukon, OK, Medina Swiggart and Kathy Sholl, both of OKC; son, Greg Thomas of Altus, OK; 5 grandchildren, Miriah Jones, Morgan Curtis, Micaiah Thomas, Canon Swiggart, and Maicyn Sholl; 3 great-grandchildren, Ashton, Kylee and Layla; sister, Gayle Lyde and husband Frank of Roosevelt. Viewing will be Tuesday, 9am-9pm with family present from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams.
