Franklin Earl Pyle, Jr., Poppa, 84, died August 23, 2010. He was born July 7, 1926 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Franklin and Ethel (Carlisle) Pyle. A proud navy veteran of WWII, he worked as a service technician at Monroe Business Machine for 38 years and then Fuzzells Business Machine for 15 years before retiring. He loved woodworking and built their home. He taught little kids to ice skate and play hockey. Frank is survived by his wife of 58 years, Pat; daughter Cindy Sims; sons Gordon and his wife Gerralee, Danny and his wife Robin; mother-in-law Emma Thomas; grandchildren Tana and husband Josh, Jeff, Cassidy, Gordie, Rory, Micah and husband Chris, and great-grandchildren Cooper and Marley. Graveside services will be Thursday, August 26, 10:30am in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
