Frank E. Payne, 98, died January 9, 2014. He was born February 2, 1915 in Mountain View, OK to Harry and Edna (Rushton) Payne. After 20 years as a farmer, the family moved to Bethany so his daughters could attend college. He worked as a civilian employee at Tinker AFB until retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Judith Muse, son-in-law, Paul Whitaker, and granddaughter, Cynda Kindle. Survivors include his wife of 76 years, Alma, of the home; daughters, Ellen Elswick and husband Wayne, Dayton, OH, Carolyn Henderson and husband Conley, Hot Springs Village, AR, Anita Lance and husband Gary, Bethany; 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Viewing will be Sunday, 11am-9pm, with family present from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Monday, January 13, 2:00pm at Bethany First Church of the Nazarene with interment in Bethany Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Southern Nazarene University Judy Muse Accounting Scholarship Fund.
