Francis M. "Benny" Benson of Edmond, OK, age 89, passed away on August 4, 2012. He was born on October 27, 1922 in Harlan County, Nebraska. Benny was a World War II veteran and had a long and successful career with the United States Air Force as a pilot and a civilian. He married Betty Caswell on February 19, 1944 and they spent 68 happy years together. He lived in Enon, Ohio; Rome, New York; Naples, Florida; and Edmond, Oklahoma. Benny loved to garden and fish and enjoyed reading and traveling. He was very active in the Methodist Church. Benny was a wonderful father and husband. He is survived by his wife, Betty; his sons, Jim and Kent; his daughter-in-law, Kathy; his grandchildren Jennifer Broker and her husband, John; Daniel Benson and his wife, Lisa; Andrew Benson; Amanda Johnson and her husband, Keil; and his great grandchildren Emalee Benson, Jacey Benson, and Eliana Broker. He was loved by all and his loving presence will be greatly missed by many. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, August 12 at Touchmark, 2801 Shortgrass, Edmond, OK 73003.
