Frances "Louise" Thompson went home to be with her Savior onJuly 2, 2016 at the age of 79. Louise was born in Lexington,Oklahoma on November 5, 1936 to Lee and Fay Bryant and tothe delight of her older sister, Jo Ann Harryman.During high school Louise worked as a dental assistant. She mether future husband of almost 61 years, William Earl "Bill"Thompson at First Southern Baptist Church in Del City,Oklahoma, where they were eventually married on August 14,1955. The next four years they were stationed at various Air Force bases around the country. During this time she worked as amilitary court stenographer. They then settled back in Oklahomaand she worked as a secretary at Tinker Air Force Base. Theywere blessed with three daughters. After her children were bornshe was a homemaker, devoting her life to caring for her husbandand children. Their daughters eventually married adding threehusbands and seven grandchildren to the family: Daughter NancyBoothe, husband Wesley, and children Christopher, Stephen, andJamie of Anadarko, Oklahoma. Daughter Leslie Kyle, husbandBob, and children Amy, husband Robert, and John. DaughterBarbara Byrd, husband Billy, and children Kaylee and Matthew.She was also loved by numerous other close family members anddear friends.Louise was a member of Portland Avenue Baptist Church, whereshe faithfully attended for 52 years. She served in manycapacities including Director of Nursery, Preschool Ministry, andSingle Adults. She also volunteered in the WMU, Vacation BibleSchool, Special Needs Department, and the Clothes Closet. Herown special ministry was taking homemade cookies to any andall.Louise also volunteered at Integris Baptist Hospital for 40 years.During this time she logged over 7,100 hours. Upon retirementfrom Gulfstream Aerospace, her husband Bill volunteered besideher for the last 25 of those years, logging over 5,200 volunteerhours himself.The family wishes to express our "HEARTFELT" gratitude to Dr.Gary Worcester and his staff for the exceptional quality of care,friendship, love, and support over the last 30 years. Dr.Worcester, she KNOWS she will see you again.In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Louises name to theOklahoma Baptist Homes for Children or Portland Avenue BaptistChurchs Childrens Ministry.We are the most fortunate of daughters to have had you for ourMom and our children will be forever blessed by your love andcare.
