Frances Brandon Pierce, age 90, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at Lackey Manor in the Baptist Village Community of Oklahoma City. She was born January 6, 1919 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Sanford and Kate (McMillian) Brandon. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Lawton where she taught Sunday School for over 60 years. She served on prayer committees as well as the Centennial Celebration of the churchs founding. She briefly resided in Jackson, Tennessee and was a member of the Woodland Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Blasingame Pierce and her sister, Betty Wood, Fredonia, NY. She is survived by her sister, Enid Wynn of Oklahoma City, OK; two daughters, Kay Lu Kirtley, Los Angeles, CA and Susan Masters, Oklahoma City, OK; her granddaughter, Sarena Braudrick, Oklahoma City, OK; and four great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, October 19, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. at Lackey Manor Nursing Home with Dr. Larry Adams officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Cedar Grove, Tennessee.
