Obituary

Frances Sheueckuk-Esch, a lifetime resident of Oklahoma, died Wednesday the 11th of May at AMG Acute care facility in Mercy Hospital. Dollie Frances Reed was born in Clinton Oklahoma in a box car on March 19, 1928 where her father worked for the railway. She was the daughter of Dellie Upchurch and Frank Reed. She grew up within a world of struggles. Frances lived through 3 homes destroyed by fire and the dust bowl of 1930's. Even though most of her childhood was spent in poverty she went on to lead a richly filled life. Frances met her first husband George Sheueckuk at the local roller skating rink. They were later married November 28th, 1944 in Michigan where George was stationed for the Navy. Together they had one son, Gary Sheueckuk, December 24, 1945 who predeceased her in 1984. Francis and George were married 41 years before he passed away. Together they loved square dancing and gardening. She met and married Frank Esch on April 26th 1986. For the next 30 years they traveled the world together and made friends wherever they went in their motor home. They shared a wonderful love together and spread the word of Jesus everywhere they went. Frances retired from Travelers insurance company as a secretary after 28 years and went on to start a second career where she built a successful business as a Shaklee coordinator. Frances loved to make women look and feel beautiful. She loved word searches, card games, playing dominos, peanut butter, children, prayer and faith. She read her bible every day and also enjoyed the book Jesus Calling and Upper Room. Other joys included sponsoring her Compassion International children, a boy in India and a girl from Guatemala. She crocheted blankets and clothes for Newborns in Need, donated to operation shoebox and volunteered in the children's ministry. Her first motives and thoughts were always about other people. Frances loved life. She is survived by her husband of 30 wonderful years, Frank Esch; her daughter in-Law, Harli Reeves; grandchildren, Jason Sheueckuk and Holly Gray; great-grandchildren, Case and Cole Gray. Franks children, Cecilia Switzer and Mark Esch; grandchild, Brandon Esch; and great-grandchildren, Max and Owen Esch. How lucky we are to have loved someone who makes saying goodbye so hard.
