Frances Hildeen (Hibbs) Ely passed away at the age of 96 on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, in Bethany, OK. She was born to Ian and Grace (Jones) Hibbs on January 18, 1927 in Unionville, MO. She married Lt. Frank Ely on June 24, 1951, in Oklahoma City. Frances worked as a commercial artist in Oklahoma City for 30 years drawing for such well-known department stores as Kerrs, John A. Brown and Sears. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 55 years, Frank; brother, Roger Hibbs; sisters, Marie Doughty and Mary Josephine Gunter; two infant children; and her son, Kevin Ely. She is survived by her daughter, Leslie Fisher; daughter-in-law, Debbie Ely; grandchildren Chris Ely and his wife Katie, Lori Ely and Michael Fisher; and two great-grandchildren, Gabby and Hazel Ely. Frances was an incredible sister, wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. A much-loved and truly one-of-a-kind classy lady. We are so grateful to have had her in our lives for so long.
