Obituary

Floyd Steven Shed, 69, of Yukon, OK, passed away June 11, 2021 in Sevierville, TN while on a family vacation. He was born September 14, 1951 in Oklahoma City to Glenn Lewayne Shed and Valeta Loreece (Holland) Shed. Steve graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1970. On May 3, 1980, he married the love of his life, Marcella (Marcy) Adams, and they were married for 41 years. Steve worked delivery routes for most of his work years, including stints at Coca-Cola, Lance Snacks, Charles Chips, and Standard Coffee. He also delivered pizza part-time for Pizza Hut to help support the family. He August 2018, he retired from Imperial Vending, where he serviced Tinker Air Force Base. He worked in the Preschool, Childrens, and Youth departments at First Baptist Church of Bethany for numerous years, as well as helped with VBS, Fall Festival, Easter, and Christmas performances, and worked the halls during worship services. Anyone that knew Steve well, knew that he loved OU football, Thunder basketball, NASCAR, and his "grand" dogs, Junior and Riley, but his pride and joy was his dog, Jak Jak. Steve spent his three years of retirement going on adventures with Jak Jak, caring for his lawn and rose bushes, and helping his girls out in any way he could. He was preceded in death by his mother, brother, and sister. Survivors include his wife, Marcella; daughters, Lindsey and Jill Shed of Yukon; father, Glenn Shed of Rhome, TX; and sister, Beth Trice of Yukon. Viewing will be Wednesday, June 16, 8am-8pm, with family present from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams in Bethany.
