Florence Louise Friend, 96 of OKC, died Feb. 1, 2011 and is now hand in hand with her heavenly Father. She was born Oct. 24, 1914, southwest of Arkansas City, KS to Warren and Marie Griffith. She graduated from Arkansas City HS and later attended Blackwell School of Practical Nursing, graduating in 1959 and licensed the same year. She was a member of Putnam City Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Martha Earlene Hall, and granddaughter Cynthia Kay Hall. She is survived by 3 daughters: Florence Esther Lance, Mary Louise Goodgion and Janet Marie & Gerald Brewer; 8 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Viewing will be Friday, 9am-9pm at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service. Services will be Sat., Feb. 5, 10:00am at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
