Florence Avis Stanich, 87, passed away August 11, 2020 in Ada, OK. She was born March 5, 1933 in Castle Hill, Maine to Guy and Rose (Devoe) Turner, as one of twelve children. Florence was a cosmetologist and business owner. Earlier in life, she was a telephone switchboard operator. She married Louis Stanich and lived in Chicago and OKC. She enjoyed traveling, painting, listening to country music and time with family and beloved pet dogs and parrot, Petey. She is survived by her son, Jim (wife Shelly); daughters, Julie (husband Scott) and Viki (husband Todd); seven grandchildren, Chris, Tim, Ryan, Delaney, Holly, Whitney and Jacob; and seven great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and some siblings. There will be no viewing. Memorial services will be August 22 at 2:00pm at Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Bethany, OK, with inurnment to follow in Bethany Cemetery.
