FayDel Sewell beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend graduated from the earthly life to the heavenly life at 9:45 pm Thursday March 11 surrounded by her three children, and grandchildren following a lengthy battle with Dementia. FayDel was born October 25 1924 in Black Rock Arkansas, the third child of Roy M. and Lilly Fay Black. She married LeRoy Sewell May 28, 1944 at Epworth United Methodist Church. To this union three children were born, Stanford LeRoy, Carol Collier and Mark LeRoy. FayDel was a devoted housewife and served for many years as a devoted Methodist Ministers Wife with her husband LeRoy Sewell who served churches in Oklahoma, West Texas and New Mexico. FayDel was active in the Methodist Churches where her husband was pastor serving in many capacities, as Sunday School Teacher, singing in the church choir, playing the piano and organ for church services. She graduated from Classen High School in Oklahoma City and attended college classes at Oklahoma City University in Oklahoma City. FayDel was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Joseph Wade Black, and Roy Mouzon Black and her beloved husband LeRoy Sewell. FayDel is survived by her three children Stanford LeRoy Sewell and his wife Carol of Plano Texas, her daughter Carol Lansdown of Oklahoma City and son Mark Sewell of Altus Oklahoma. FayDel is also survived her grandchildren Kelly Sewell Ballard and husband Brian Ballard, Amy Elizabeth Lansdown, Brian Patrick Lansdown, Christina Lynn Sewell and Sarah Elizabeth Sewell. She is also survived by three great grandsons Reagan David Ballard, Graham Stanford Ballard and Landry Brian Ballard of Allen Texas. A graveside service will be held for FayDel Sewell at Rose Hill Cemetery Monday March 15 at 11:00 am. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 pm at May Avenue United Methodist Church. Viewing will be Sunday, March 14, from Noon-9pm at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Oklahoma City University Wesley Foundation Dr. LeRoy and FayDel Sewell Prayer Chapel.
