Eunice Oneta (Cloud) Fechner, 91, of Bethany, OK, died on July 10, 2017, entering into the beauty of heaven, that fair haven of rest for the weary and sweet home of the happy and free.
She was born September 30, 1925, in Higgins, TX, to parents, Homer and Ethel Cloud.
She attended Bethany Peniel College where she met John Charles Fechner. They were married on August 25, 1947, and adventured through life together for 63 years until Johns death on January 5, 2011.
As a stay-at-home mom and pastors wife, she worked alongside her husband in ministry in the Church of the Nazarene for 36 years, serving in Bethany, OK; Jet, OK; Newport, AR; Kingsville, TX; Perry, OK; and Piedmont, OK.
As her children became more independent, she added a job at TG&Y to her many activities, employed as a payroll clerk.
She loved working with puzzles; sitting on her front porch enjoying nature, especially her colorful garden flowers and the variety of birds which would come to her feeder; sipping hot spiced tea or playing games with her grandchildren; and extending warm hospitality and good food to all who entered her home.
She is celebrated by her loved ones as a sweet, caring friend, and a loving mother and grandmother their yellow Texas rose, whose sparkle made her a special girl for all.
She is survived by two sons: John Fechner, Jr., and wife, Pat, of Cushing, OK, and Kenneth Fechner, of Bethany, OK; two daughters, Gaylene Hill, of Arvada, CO, and Susan Acre, and husband, Darrik, of Piedmont, OK; twenty-two grandchildren, Shaun, Bryan, Julia, Emily, Kevin, Janet, Kristen, Justin, Matthew, Bridget, Brandon, Lareina, Brent, Bryce, Amanda, Jordan, Emily, Jeremy, Candra, Jenae, Jonathan, and Jaime; twelve great-grandchildren, Jacob, Jack, Brooke, Ainsley, Atley, Asher, Aiden, Neil, Ella, Noah, Lucy, and Sydney; two siblings: Lois Thrasher of Pampa, TX, and Alice Jernigan of Blackwell, OK; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; seven siblings, Homer, Donald, Dennis, Rose Ellen, Grace, Hope, and Sharon; her husband, John Charles Fechner; one daughter, Carolyn Jo, and one son, Rodney Neil.
