Obituary

Esther Anderson, 89, passed away May 2, 2026 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born February 24, 1937, to James and Carroll (Grasham) Olive in Tuscumbia, AL where she lived until 1949 when the family moved to Bethany, OK. She attended Putnam City schools before transferring to Bethany High School for her junior and senior years.

Esther married Bobby Ray Morren, who served in the US Air Force. As a result, they traveled a lot. Esther and Bobby were blessed with two beautiful children, Deborah Kay Morren and Bobby Ray Morren.

In 1980, Esther married Andy Anderson. Both of them were bookkeepers and started their own business.

Esther was a member of Putnam City Church of Christ until 1999 when she and Andy moved their membership to Cherokee Hills Church of Christ. They knew they had found their home when she heard Granville Clapp preach and Jack Mitchell sing. She loved Jack's singing.

Esther was preceded in death by her parents, James and Carroll Olive; husband, Andy Anderson; daughter, Deborah Kay Weiner; and nephew, Alfred "Al" Smith.

She is survived by her son, Bobby Ray Morren and wife Michelle; two grandsons, James Weiner of Arlington, TX and Jeremy Weiner and wife Ashley of Arlington, TX; son-in-law, Michael Weiner of Arlington, TX; sister, Jeannie Hearn of Oklahoma City; and niece, Ramona Smith and husband, Stacy.

Esther was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, stepmother, sister and aunt. She will be greatly missed.

Viewing at Mercer-Adams is Wednesday, 2-8pm, with family present from 4-6pm. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 7, 11:00am, at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
