Ernest E. Tatyrek, born November 26, 1924, in Willow, Oklahoma, passed away July 12, 2014 in Oklahoma City. He was the son of Emil and Liddie Tatyrek. Ernest married Mildred I. Boynton, June 17, 1944. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred, his parents, and his brother, Albert. Survivors include his two sons, Ernest Ray (Mary L.) of West Linn, Oregon, Kenneth James (Jan E.) of Hood River, Oregon; one grandson, Derek Hans Tatyrek; and two great-granddaughters, Madilyn L. and Megan C. Tatyrek. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces and cousins. Ernest was a proud American serving in the European Theatre in WWII. Ernest and Mildred were active members of the Tulakes Baptist Church until their deaths. They were very active in the Czech Lodge from their early married life. Ernest was a very skilled carpenter. He made substantial additions to their Bethany home. He also loved working on and repairing his motor vehicles. All those touched by Ernie's life will certainly miss him and be grateful he was part of their lives. Viewing will be Wednesday, 10:30am - 9:00pm, with family present from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 11:00am at Tulakes Baptist Church, Bethany, Oklahoma.
