Emmy Jo
Stewart
Jun 30, 1929 — Oct 28, 2023
Emmy Jo Stewart was called home to our Lord on Saturday, October 28, 2023. She was born on June 30, 1929, to Carris and Pearl Holley. She married Willard L. Justus in 1947 and raised four children.
She graduated from Leedey High School and then later in life, an LPN program in Oklahoma City. She loved being a nurse. She was also an excellent Sunday School teacher for many, many years in the First Baptist Church of Bethany.
Jo was a fun-loving and caring individual. Her outgoing personality and sense of humor allowed her to touch many lives. She loved dancing and kept at it, especially square-dancing even into her 80's. She loved ice cream, entertaining and her grandchildren a lot, too.
Jo was preceded in death by her parents, Carris and Pearl Holley; her sisters, Vivian, Vera and Veta; her brothers, Cecil, Thurmon, Clifford and James; her daughter, Linda; and youngest son, Steve. She outlived the father of her children and later husband of 25 years, Bert Stewart, Jr.
Jo is survived by her oldest son, Rick and his wife Connie, and their children, Angela, Rick, Sunny, Jamie, Jonathan, Andy, Nathan, Ruthanne, Stephen, Kelly and Caleb; middle son, Mike, and his children, Adrianna and Chelina; and Steve's children, Adrienne and Whitney. She was much loved.
