Emmett Estell Taylor, 95, went home to Heaven on December 7, 2014. He was born November 13, 1919 in Comanche, OK to Henry and Winifred Taylor. As a young man, he was converted and dedicated his life to Jesus. He graduated from Trevecca Nazarene College, Nashville, TN. A published author, he was a lifetime Minister and Evangelist in the Church of the Nazarene. He pastored numerous Nazarene churches and preached revivals all over the United States. He married Marie Ray, April 14, 1992. Emmett was preceded in death by his parents, son, Emmett E., Jr., six brothers, four sisters, and two former wives, Ola Jewell and Jeannie. Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Marie; daughter, Ruby J. Garner and husband Thomas; grandsons, John Emmett Taylor and John David Franklin; step-children, Kathy Steed and husband Jackie, and Steve Ray. Services will be Thursday, December 11, 2:00pm at Calvary Church of the Nazarene with interment in Bethany Cemetery.
