Emma Louise Stamps was born in Oklahoma City, OK to Earl and Almeda Lockett on July 4, 1915, and died on November 19, 2012, in Oklahoma City, OK with her family by her side. She was married in Oklahoma City, OK to Woodrow Wilson (Woody) Stamps on May 8, 1936 and they celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary before he preceded her in death in 2006. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Donald Stamps and Robert Stamps, one sister, Estella Womack, her brother, Wayne Lockett, and a nephew, Ron Karns. She is survived by her son, David Stamps and Altina Waller of Oklahoma City; daughter-in-law, Linda Stamps-Dissmore (Lewis) of Edmond, OK; and Debbie Stamps; three grandchildren, Toby Stamps of Kearney, NE, Todd Stamps (Leslie) of Chickasha, OK and Tiffany Grach (Stephen) of Dushanbe, Tajikistan; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Luke, and Paul Stamps, and Eliza and Ezra Grach; sisters, Jane Karns of Sherman Oaks, CA and Mary Ann Carson of Colorado Springs, CO; and many nieces and nephews. Emma was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed by all of her family. Viewing will be Monday and Tuesday from 9am-9pm at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service, Bethany. A memorial will be held Wednesday November 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Hills Christian Church, 2121 N. MacArthur Blvd., Oklahoma City, OK with interment to follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
