Elzora Lester, 89, died January 13, 2014, surrounded by her family. She was born October 31, 1924 in Quinton, OK to Frank and Birtie (Ramsey) Henderson. She worked for 20 years at the daycare at Calvary Church of the Nazarene where she was a longtime, active member. Family was very important to her, and she especially loved her grandkids. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Herman, and nine siblings. Survivors include her sons, Jerry Lester and wife Jan, Yukon, OK, Don Lester and wife Sharyn, OKC; daughter, Reta Henson, Mustang, OK; brother, Charlie Henderson; sisters, Lorene Doyle and Norma Jean Clark; and 2 grandchildren, Jennifer Lester, Judith Jackson and husband Jonathan. Special thanks to the staff at The Lakes Nursing Home for their wonderful care over these last five years. Viewing will be Friday, 9am-9pm, with family present from 7-9pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Saturday, January 18, 10:00am at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Bethany Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Calvary Church of the Nazarene.
