Elvan H. Lombard, 83, of Oklahoma City, graduated to Heaven Easter Sunday evening, April 4, 2021. Elvan was born on December 21, 1937, Oklahoma City, OK. He graduated from Putnam City High School. He earned his degree in Business Management from Central State University. In 1958 he married Thyra Janet Remington of Oklahoma City. He retired from Western Electric/AT&T with more than 30 years of service. In 1989 he married Nancy Kay Lagaly. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church for approximately 25 years & in 2010 he became a member of the Church of the Servant United Methodist Church.
Elvan was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy; his parents, Ernest his brother, Leslie; & his sister, Carol Lombard Harlow.
He is survived by his brother, Phillip Lombard & wife Gail of Rockwall, TX; his six children & their families: Ed & Susan Lombard, Tim Lombard, Ashley & Jason Faucett, Cara & Ricky Poulin & Lacey Lombard, all of Oklahoma City; David & Sandi Lombard & Rett Wood of Edmond, OK, Olivia Lombard of Glenpool, OK; Julie & Bill Baker of Allen, TX, Kyle & Abby Baker of Richardson, TX, Josh & Heather Baker of Charlotte, NC & Ryan Baker of Dallas, TX; Steve & Sharalyn Lombard & Deaven Lombard of Franklin, NC; Mark & Melissa Lombard, Lauren & Josh Smereck & Luke Lombard of Yukon, OK; Susan & Neil Gillett, Tanner Gillett, Nolan Gillett & Mikaela Gillett of Warr Acres, OK. He is blessed with 16 great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his three stepchildren & their families: Susan Boone, William Boone & Jason Boone of Rock Hill, SC; Chris & Jeanne Lagaly, Jordan Donaldson of Edina, MN & Justin Donaldson of Kansas City, KS; Lisa & Steve Mesenbrink of Oklahoma City, OK, Diana & Jeremy Barr of Bethany, OK, Dan Mesenbrink of Silverthorne, CO.
After a Kidney & Liver transplant in 2003, Elvan volunteered to help transplant patients at Integris Baptist Hospital. Until the time of his death, he continued to volunteer in other areas of the hospital for 18 years; he also served on the Volunteer Auxiliary Board.
Viewing is Thursday, April 8, 10 a.m.- 8 p.m., with family present from 6 8 p.m. at Mercer-Adams Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Friday, April 9th at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Servant, 14343 N. MacArthur Blvd., Oklahoma City, OK. Graveside Service at Spring Creek Memorial Cemetery, 14300 N. County Line Road, OKC.
