Ellen Pat Barton, 70, died March 19, 2012. She was born January 7, 1942 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Travis and Pauline Coffey. She was a 1961 graduate of Northwest Classen High School. She worked for DHS until her retirement. She married Leon Barton April 25, 1970 in Duncan, Oklahoma. Ellen loved to cook and the family will miss her Christmas gifts of jam, jellies and pastries. Preceded in death by her parents, she is survived by her husband, Leon; daughter, Tina; son, Christopher; 2 stepsons, Rusty and Doyle; stepdaughter, Shelly Phillips; grandson, Wesley; sister, Paula Jones and husband Duane; step-brothers, Mike and John Gilbert; numerous nieces and nephews; and all her precious pets. Family will greet friends from 6-8pm Thursday at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Friday, March 23, 2:00pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
