Elizabeth Ann McGuinness died October 4, 2015 in Oklahoma City. She was born on February 9, 1932 to William and Helen Maher New. Elizabeth graduated from Lenox Hill Hospital School of Nursing in New York City, and also attended Central State University in Oklahoma. She was a registered nurse, specializing in anesthesia, and retired from Baptist Hospital after 35 years of service. Known to her nursing colleagues as "Betty Mac" she held various leadership positions for the American and Oklahoma Society of Post-Anesthesia Nurses. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and the Miller Park Neighborhood Association. Elizabeth enjoyed volunteering, giving her time to many organizations in the community. Her hobbies included traveling, bowling, stamp collecting, sewing, swimming and being outdoors. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Carolyn Lamberson. Survivors include three daughters, Teresa Sederburg and husband Van of Frisco, TX, Mary Dougherty and husband Joe of Edmond, OK, and Cathy Roles and husband Glenn of Yukon, OK; brother, William "Bill" New; grandchildren, Brian, Melinda, Stephan, Amber, Zach, Austin, Chelsea, David, Coy, Tanner, and Jace; and great grandchildren, Kiley, Khloe, Kaden, Ryker, and Titus. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, with burial to follow in Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
