Obituary

Elbert Irvin Beaman, 86, went to be with the Lord, June 20, 2011, at home. He was born April 28, 1925 in Jones, OK to Alonzo and Maude (Sims) Beaman. He grew up in Spencer, OK and proudly served his country in the Army from 1945-46. B, as he was affectionately known to his buddies, worked for OG&E for 39 years and was a 32nd degree Mason of the Bethany Lodge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and coin hunting. Passionate for music, he loved listening to people play guitars, fiddles, drums, etc. He was a very sweet and kind man who would help anyone, anytime, expecting nothing in return. He loved his wife, daughter, all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and his sister, Betty, who was a very special person in his life. He was loved by all who knew him and he will be greatly missed. Elbert was preceded in death by his parents, twin brother Delbert, brother Bill, baby sister Ailene, and half-siblings Anglin Beaman and Mable Fowler. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mabel; daughter, Connie Franklin and husband Joe; sister, Betty Stevenson; grandchildren, Stacey Meyers and husband John, Blake Franklin and wife Jada; 5 great-grandchildren, Caroline and Olivia King, Bennett Meyers, Wiley and Reed Franklin; and many nieces and nephews.
