Elaine Rose Woods, 83, passed away November 10, 2010. She was born October 1, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois to Alvin and Rose (Pfauser) Johnson. She was a busy homemaker and excellent seamstress who also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crafting, gardening and cooking. She belonged to The Monday Club coffee/sewing group with other wives who were transferred to OKC from the Chicago Western Electric plant, and also participated in a Thursday bowling league years ago. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, husband Earl Woods, sister Ruth Carmody, and brother Walter Johnson. She is survived by her daughters, Carol Spradlin and husband Bob, Donna Woods, Linda Daugherty and husband Don; brothers, William Johnson and Alvin E. Johnson; and 4 grandchildren, Krishna, Scott, Jason and Kari. Funeral services will be Monday, November 15, 2:00pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Resurrection Cemetery.
