Edwin Leroy Ward, 90, was born October 25, 1934 in Cloud Chief, OK to James Marion and Oma Exel Ward. He toiled the earth doing various jobs, including serving in the U.S. Army, working at the OG&E plant, driving a Continental Trailways bus, teaching in public schools and retiring as a public school administrator. He reported to duty at 2:40pm, October 25, 2024 on the Streets of Gold in his Heavenly Home. As he strolled through the Pearly Gates, the heavens echoed with a resounding "Welcome home, my good and faithful servant." Upon his arrival in Glory, Edwin was greeted by a host of loved ones awaiting his homecoming, including his parents; and siblings, Everett, Doyle, Averill, and an infant brother. It is supposed as he looks down from his new inspiration point in the mountain peaks in Heaven, he is still speaking faith and salvation into all. May his legacy abound and many be touched by his testimony and faith in Jesus Christ the Lord.

Edwin has temporarily left his loving children, Kevin, Angela and Brian along with their spouses, Renee, Roger and Ranju, who look forward to a Heavenly reunion someday. Papa will be missed by his grandchildren, Matthew and Mark; and is also survived by two sisters, Jimmie Ruth Ferguson and Joyce McBride.

Viewing at Mercer-Adams will be Wednesday, 9am-8pm with family present from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 31, 1:00pm at OKC Faith Church with Pastor Terry Bates officiating. Burial will follow in Bethany Cemetery.
