Edwin Ed Lewis Rice, 66, died January 11, 2012 in OKC. He was born October 23, 1945 in Oklahoma City, OK to Keith C. and Dorothy (Ridings) Rice. He owned a commercial construction company and was an avid woodworker and gun collector. He was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. Preceded in death by his father, he is survived by his mother, Dorothy, of OKC; daughters, Shelly Phillips, Stacey Hawley and husband Brad, all of OKC; sisters, Claudette Rice of Tampa, FL, Marilyn Hesselgren and husband Chris of Dallas, TX; and grandchildren, Mason and Miles Phillips, Caroline and Katherine Hawley. The family extends special thanks to the mens breakfast prayer group of Baptist Temple. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 13 at 5:00pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel, 3825 N. Asbury Ave, Bethany, Oklahoma.
