Edward "Shane" Pickens came into this world on Aug. 4th, 1970 in Oklahoma City, where he lived the majority of his life. He was 48 years old when he peacefully joined his Savior, Jesus Christ on May 5th, 2019, with friends and family gathered around. He graduated from P.C. West H.S. in 1990 with a welding scholarship. He was a soccer player, enjoyed fishing and spending time with family, especially his grandpa, who was like a father to him and taught him about cars and mechanics. Shane enjoyed working with his hands and went into welding for a time, then paint and body work and wood-working. He was artistically gifted in drawing and painting and airbrushing graphics. Everyone knew he was a die-hard OSU fan as well. Shane fought bravely these last 4 months. God gave him the ability and courage to live out his last days under much medical assistance.
Shane was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward and Alice Wajda; and cousins, Jake and Tristen Wajda. He is survived by his mother, Sharon Pickens; sister, Tammi Dodson and husband Shane, and their children Sam, Jon, Kenzie brother, Barry Fee and his children Kayla and Barry Jr.; brother, Tony and wife Jana Fee and their children Eddie, Yana, Zach and Ruben; Stormi Sanchez, the mother of his first daughter, Mercedes Pickens and Thomas Jordan and their children Parker, Tatum and Maddox; Misty Cook, the mother of his second daughter, Kristin Cook and her children Riley and Jayden; his first wife, Sherri Longnecker and their son Ty Pickens; Tera Short, the mother of their sons, Jett and Cole Pickens and step-daughter Taylor Short; his second wife, Ezra Poindexter and step-son Jay; his current love, Tara Webb and her children Cylee, Jalyn and her children Brody and Ryler; Brandon and Lisa and their children Olivia, Madison and Angelina; an uncle, Frank Wajda and Rhonda Long; cousins in the Wajda and Walls line and many more friends and family.
