Obituary

Edward Hudlow Maddox, Jr., 92, went on his journey to be with our Lord and Savior on June 18, 2014. He was born December 21, 1921 to E. H. Maddox, Sr. and Julia Florence (Rodgers) Maddox in Comanche, OK. After graduating from McAlester High, 3 years later in 1942 was inducted into the U.S. Army Air Corp where he served overseas in WWII and earning several medals. Upon returning, he entered college and earned accounting and law degrees. After retiring a first time, he went back to college and earned a Masters in finance, then went back to work before retiring a second time at the age of 90. His faith in God was unmatched as he lived his life helping others learn by teaching the Word of God. He was preceded in death by E.H. and Julia Maddox, his first wife, E. Marie Maddox in 1975; his second wife, Darris Maddox in 2004; three sisters; two brothers; and daughter, Wausceile Van Hooser. He is survived by his sister, Doris; grandson, Brad Van Hooser; two great grandsons; two great-great granddaughters; numerous nieces and nephews; and a plethora of friends who all played parts in his life. Services will be held 10:00 am, Monday, June 23, 2014 at the Rose Hill Abbey Mausoleum in Rose Hill Burial Park. Funeral Service Monday, June 23, 2014 10:00 AM Rose Hill Abbey Mausoleum 6001 N.W.
