Edward Raymond Houston, Jr., died on December 3, 2019, in Northglenn, Colorado. He was born on May 6, 1922, in Rowena, Texas, to Edward Raymond Houston, Sr., and Minnie Viola (Emert) Houston. He married Gracie Lee Hawkins on June 20, 1943, in Mangum, Oklahoma. He spent his entire life preparing for and serving as a pastor in the Church of the Nazarene and served in that capacity for nearly sixty years in the Kansas and Oklahoma districts. He loved sports, music, collecting items, meeting people, his family, but most of all, he loved his church and his God. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Curtis and Cecil, one sister, Glenna, a son, John Edward, and his beloved wife, Grace Houston. He is survived by sons, Graydon and his wife, Karen, and Raymond Eugene and his wife, Mary, along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 17, 2020, at the Bethany First Church of the Nazarene in the Chapel in the Round. Interment will be in McPherson, Kansas on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 11:00 AM. He is and will be greatly missed.
