Edward William Devonshire, 56, of OKC, joined his Lord and Savior Jesus in Heaven on July 3, 2017. He was born on September 9, 1960 in Zaragoza, Spain. Ed graduated from Carl Albert High School in 1978 after, which, he joined the Air Force, spending six years on active duty as a member of the K.I. Sawyer AFB Law Enforcement/Security Police in Michigan. Upon leaving the Air Force, Ed held various jobs until he joined Southwest Airlines at the OKC Call Center, where he advanced to a supervisory position. Ed also worked for Dell Computers in OKC. 'Chef Ed', as he was known by his close friends, was an avid OU football fan and spent numerous gameday Saturdays cooking BBQ for 'The Swarm' in Norman.
Ed is survived by his parents, Bob and Kathy Devonshire of Mustang; sister, Debi Wyatt and husband Jack of Sacramento; brothers, Bob and his wife Debbie of OKC, Tom and his wife Elena of OKC, and Mike and his wife Wendy of OKC; 4 nephews, 1 niece, 3 great nephews, 5 great nieces; and a special longtime friend, Kelley Hunter of Colorado Springs.
