Edna R. Ramee passed away March 19, 2015. She was born July 5, 1915 in St. Paul, MN to Albert and Mary Brown. She moved with her parents to several cities in TX and OK before moving to OKC. A graduate of Central High School, one of her favorite memories was playing her violin in the orchestra. After graduation, she worked for the Oklahoma City School Administration office and became the secretary to one of the Asst. Superintendents. In October, 1941 she married Harold E. Ramee. Years later, she worked for Litterals, Inc., an appliance store on NW 10th St. After retirement from Litteral's, Edna took a few years off before beginning a 2nd career volunteering at Integris Baptist Hospital, which became her mission and passion in life. The family wants to thank the volunteer department for all they did in keeping mother motivated to serve. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harold, an infant grandchild, Robert J. McClanahan, and many dear friends. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl McClanahan and her husband Val, and by her son, Robert Ramee and his wife Marsha. She is also survived by 3 granddaughters, their spouses, 4 great-granddaughters and 1 great-grandson. The family wants to thank all the staff at Rambling Oaks Assisted Living Center in Norman, and Pam, Brenda and Paula with Harbor Light Hospice. Memorials may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church or the Intergris Baptist Hospital Volunteer Organization. The burial will be a private family ceremony.
