Edna Ruth Haley died Friday, January 14, 2011. She was born January 6, 1929, to Charles and Mary Kiess. In September, 1946, she married Jasper (Jay) Frederick Haley; they made their home in Bethany, Oklahoma for 59 years. They subsequently had 3 children: Charlotte Ellison of Yukon, OK; Dean Haley of Wagoner, OK, along with his wife, Wanda; and Paula Disney of Wagoner, OK. Edna worked 24 years for HR Block in tax preparation. After retirement, she continued helping with tax preparation for family and friends. In 2009, Edna moved to Wagoner, OK, to share a home with her daughter. There were memories shared and much laughter during their time together, although Ednas health continued to decline. Edna was extremely proud of all her grandchildren: Bryan, Jason, Deidre, Heather, Beau and Tonya and greatly loved by her 14 great-grandchildren. Although she was Grandma to the grandkids, she quickly became Grandma Edna and Gee-Maw to the great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Additionally, she left behind two sisters: Helen Davison of Chickasha, OK, and Bessie Collier of Oklahoma City, OK, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, January 17, 2011, at Mercer-Adams Chapel, 3925 N. Asbury.
