Edna Louise Dewey, 108, of OKC, passed away May 15, 2015 in OKC. Born on February 8, 1907, her parents were John and Dora (Wiese) Greve of Brainerd, MN. She graduated from John Fletcher College (University Park/Oskaloosa, IA) in 1939 with a BA in Home Economics. She lived in Iowa before serving as a missionary in India along with her husband, under World Gospel Mission, at South India Biblical Seminary, from 1945 to 1977. She then retired to live in Bailey, CO, later in Longmont, CO, and finally in OKC from 1999. In India she taught English to Bible College students, served as mission field treasurer, was librarian of the school and served as hostess to guests coming to visit. Edna was married to Clifford S. Dewey from August 9, 1940 until his death on April 10, 2007. Survivors include son, Frank (and Christine Taylor Dewey), two grandchildren, Laura (and Brent) Tevebaugh of Bethany, and Evan (and Lori) Dewey of Dalhart, TX, step-great-grandson, Garrett Tevebaugh, step great-great-grandson, Wyatt Tevebaugh, great-grandsons, Brock and Lance Tevebaugh of Bethany, and great-granddaughters, Kirsten, Riley, Anika and Aubrey Dewey of Dalhart, along with many nephews and nieces and their families across the country. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and all 10 siblings. Viewing will be Wednesday, 9am-9pm, with family present from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams. Funeral service will be Thursday, May 21, 2015, at 10:30am at Calvary Church of the Nazarene, Bethany, OK, with interment in Yukon Cemetery.
