Edna Marie Coit, 87, died April 11, 2013 in Oklahoma City. She was born October 28, 1925 in Verden, OK the daughter of Arthur Earl and Minnie Viola (Cox) Ash. Edna had been a midwife in the hills of Kentucky and was a Registered Nurse, retiring from Baptist Hospital after 25 years. She was a longtime member of the Greystone Presbyterian Church, OKC. She loved crocheting, sharing those items with hospital patients, as well as working in her yard. She was preceded in death by her husband Gene Coit, sister, Patricia Lenora Ash and brother, Arthur Edsel Ash. Survivors include nephews and niece, Paul Ash and wife Sylvia of Oakland, CA, Donna Sabatasso and husband Kurt of Coto de Caza, CA, and Kelly Ash and wife Stephanie of Boise, ID. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Viewing will be Friday, 9am-9pm, at Mercer-Adams. Funeral services will be at 10:00am, Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Friendship Cemetery, Grady County, OK.
